{"id":12235,"date":"2026-03-03T14:22:13","date_gmt":"2026-03-03T13:22:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/majoflores.com\/proyectos\/serene-residence-with-sea-views\/"},"modified":"2026-08-06T11:33:14","modified_gmt":"2026-08-06T09:33:14","slug":"serene-residence-with-sea-views","status":"publish","type":"proyectos","link":"https:\/\/majoflores.com\/en\/projects\/serene-residence-with-sea-views\/","title":{"rendered":"Serene Residence with Sea Views"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Acquired by our clients as a <strong>second residence facing the sea<\/strong>, intended for <strong>enjoying beach vacations with their young daughter<\/strong>, we were commissioned to undertake the <strong>complete renovation of this 80 m\u00b2 residence<\/strong>, which was in <strong>original condition<\/strong> and whose <strong>layout did not meet their needs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the original configuration, the <strong>finest sea views<\/strong> were not connected to the <strong>living area<\/strong>, and access to the <strong>large terrace<\/strong> was through <strong>two bedrooms<\/strong>, which limited its daily use.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project approach consisted of <strong>reorganizing the residence&#8217;s layout<\/strong>, prioritizing the <strong>living area oriented toward the terrace and sea views<\/strong>, with a <strong>direct connection between interior and exterior<\/strong>. We redistributed the spaces with the objective of <strong>optimizing the views, natural light, and interior circulation<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To achieve this, we integrated the <strong>kitchen, dining room, and living room into a single L-shaped open space<\/strong>, creating a <strong>more spacious, luminous, and fluid environment<\/strong>, with <strong>better utilization of natural light<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>kitchen open to the living room<\/strong> incorporates a <strong>custom-designed decorative fixed glass panel<\/strong>, which allows for <strong>visual delineation of the space without losing luminosity<\/strong>, reinforcing the <strong>spatial continuity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>living area<\/strong>, located in one of the former bedrooms, is positioned adjacent to the kitchen and near the <strong>large window with views of the Mediterranean Sea<\/strong>. We designed a <strong>discreet and integrated television unit<\/strong>, conceived to <strong>avoid interfering with the landscape views<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>dining area<\/strong>, situated where another bedroom previously existed, was organized around a <strong>large oak table<\/strong>, accompanied by a <strong>custom bench with integrated storage<\/strong>. This solution allows for <strong>improved circulation<\/strong> and <strong>facilitates direct access to the terrace<\/strong>, which during summer becomes the <strong>center of the family&#8217;s daily life<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>terrace facing the sea<\/strong> was organized into <strong>two distinct areas: a living area and an informal outdoor dining space<\/strong>, creating a <strong>versatile space for family gatherings and moments of relaxation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>master bedroom<\/strong> draws inspiration from <strong>Mediterranean aesthetics<\/strong>, with a <strong>palette of neutral tones and blues<\/strong> that evoke <strong>serenity and freshness<\/strong>. It features a <strong>bed with upholstered headboard<\/strong>, accompanied by <strong>suspended oak wood nightstands<\/strong>. Beneath the window we designed a <strong>small desk<\/strong>, intended for <strong>occasional work or reading moments<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>children&#8217;s bedroom<\/strong>, measuring <strong>just over 7 m\u00b2<\/strong>, was resolved with <strong>custom-designed furniture<\/strong> to <strong>maximize space utilization<\/strong>: <strong>bed with drawers, storage headboard, wardrobe, bookshelf, mirror with moldings, and desk<\/strong>. The <strong>color palette<\/strong> is based on <strong>neutral tones and soft greens<\/strong>, generating a <strong>tranquil and luminous atmosphere<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From the <strong>hallway<\/strong>, one accesses the <strong>main bathroom<\/strong> through a <strong>door with custom-designed oak wood frame<\/strong>, which adds <strong>character to the interior circulation<\/strong>. Notable is the <strong>bathroom vanity with natural stone basin and black fixtures<\/strong>, creating an <strong>elegant and contemporary contrast<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, we designed an <strong>integrated laundry nook<\/strong>, <strong>discreet and functional<\/strong>, concealed behind <strong>custom paneling with folding doors<\/strong>, which allows for <strong>maintaining order without interfering with the space&#8217;s aesthetics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result is a <strong>luminous and functional residence facing the sea<\/strong>, where the <strong>living area opens completely to the terrace and landscape<\/strong>, enhancing the <strong>Mediterranean experience and outdoor living<\/strong>.
