This is a 280 m2 residence<\/strong> that was originally in its initial state, featuring a very dated appearance<\/strong> that did not meet the needs of its new owners<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

For the kitchen<\/strong>, we chose an off-white<\/strong> combined with natural oak<\/strong>. We installed a large island<\/strong> with a low table<\/strong> extension. At the express request of the clients, the work area<\/strong> (cooking and sink) was located off the island.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

Moving into the sleeping area, we find the children’s bedroom.<\/strong> The furniture<\/strong> was custom-designed<\/strong> by the studio. We opted for white<\/strong> with touches of natural oak<\/strong> on the desk and the bookshelf units. The walls<\/strong> by the bed were finished with a custom wood wainscot<\/strong> and wallpaper<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

The clients<\/strong>, a family consisting of a couple and their young daughter<\/strong> who had recently purchased the property, wanted to transform it into a modern, comfortable, cozy, bright, and inviting home<\/strong>. Additionally, they required a new layout<\/strong>, as the original one did not suit their needs, and wanted to integrate the pillar located in the kitchen. <\/p>\n\n

After analyzing the spaces and the clients’ wishes, we created a new layout<\/strong> for the house to accommodate an entrance hall, living-dining room, open-plan kitchen, laundry room, office, gym, girl’s bedroom, guest bedroom, and master bedroom, along with three bathrooms and a powder room<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

We achieved a better distribution<\/strong> by eliminating the long, dark hallway and changing the location of the kitchen. Furthermore, this change provided brighter rooms<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Throughout the house, we installed natural oak wood flooring<\/strong> with wide planks, except in the wet areas, where we used ceramic tiles.<\/p>\n\n

We opted for different wall coverings<\/strong> in certain rooms, such as wallpaper, decorative panels, and oak wood, as well as clay paint. In the bathrooms, we selected ceramic tiles with textile and stone effects. <\/p>\n\n

The floor-to-ceiling interior doors<\/strong> were finished in white lacquer.<\/p>\n\n

Oak<\/strong> is present throughout much of the house, alongside white lacquer<\/strong> in the children’s bedroom and black-stained oak in the office.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

We designed the daytime areas<\/strong> (entrance hall, living room, dining room, and kitchen) as an open concept<\/strong>, separated by glass partitions with oak wood moldings. Serving as a central axis, we created an English courtyard featuring a preserved eucalyptus shrub, which helped us articulate these rooms. <\/p>\n\n

Leaving the entrance hall<\/strong> behind and walking down the corridor, presided over by a metal sculpture<\/strong>, we enter the semi-public area<\/strong> of the home.<\/p>\n\n

First, there is the laundry room<\/strong>, next to the kitchen. Opposite the laundry, we created a powder room<\/strong>. Next, we placed the office<\/strong>. Its masculine feel was achieved through custom black-stained oak cabinetry<\/strong> and selected furniture<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

In the guest bedroom<\/strong>, we placed two twin beds<\/strong> with upholstered headboards and wallpaper. The bed textiles<\/strong> are the perfect complement to provide the final touch of color. <\/p>\n\n

The most secluded and intimate area<\/strong> of the house is reserved for the master bedroom, featuring an open bathroom and a walk-in closet.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

In the master bedroom<\/strong>, we highlighted the headboard wall<\/strong> by covering it with wallpaper and decorative panels<\/strong>. The nightstands and pendant lamps complete the styling<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

The bathroom open to the bedroom<\/strong> combines three coverings: one of oak wood<\/strong> forming rounded slats, another with a natural stone effect, and a mirror<\/strong> finish in the vanity area. The vanity unit, also designed by the studio<\/strong>, features two stone sinks. <\/p>\n\n

The wood paneling in the bathroom<\/strong> conceals a sliding door that provides access to a walk-in closet where no detail has been overlooked.<\/p>\n\n
