Warm and Modern Home

This is a newly built single-story detached house featuring a terrace, swimming pool, and garden. The owners, a young couple and their 5-year-old daughter, contacted us to carry out a furnishing, lighting, and decoration project tailored to their tastes and preferences, based on a modern and minimalist style that remains warm and inviting.

On the terrace, we placed a sofa and lounge area and, next to the pool, a sun deck with loungers. We used the same natural stone flooring throughout the entire home, both outdoors and indoors, to create a sense of continuity.

For the living room, we opted for a corner sofa, complemented by a comfortable armchair, two metal nesting tables, and an iconic floor lamp. In the dining room, we designed floor-to-ceiling slatted oak wood paneling that conceals a storage cupboard. To illuminate the dining table, we chose original pendant lamps of different sizes that appear to float like bubbles, creating a striking composition.

The guest bathroom features natural stone wall cladding, matching the flooring. We designed a bespoke oak wood vanity with a vessel sink and incorporated two beautiful pendant lamps.

For the daughter’s en-suite bathroom, we chose natural stone cladding combined with small-format pink hexagonal ceramic tiles. We also selected a bathroom vanity with ample storage in a soft pink tone.

The master bedroom provides access to a walk-in closet and, through it, to the primary bathroom, which features a freestanding bathtub, two showers, and a bespoke oak wood vanity. The large windows make this bathroom a very bright and special space, offering relaxing views of the garden greenery.

The daytime and social area—comprising the terrace, living room, dining room, and kitchen—is located at the front of the property, while the nighttime and private area is situated at the back of the house, consisting of three bedrooms (master, children’s, and guest). The master bedroom features an en-suite bathroom accessed through the walk-in closet. The little girl’s bedroom also has its own bathroom.

The home also includes a laundry room, accessed via a hidden door from the kitchen, an office, and a guest bathroom.

The house is organized around a beautiful sunken courtyard with greenery that provides natural light.

We opted for an open-concept layout for the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The kitchen overlooks the pool and features an island housing the cooking and sink area. One of the corners of the island extends into a breakfast bar for quick meals. The kitchen also features a breakfast nook and a wine cellar.

The youngest member of the household wanted a bedroom with “lots of pink” and full of unicorns, where she could play and have fun with friends, but also rest, read, and study. To achieve this, we incorporated a house-shaped bed and covered the wall with a playful yet subtle unicorn wallpaper. Toys and books are organized on a custom-designed bookshelf that flanks the desk.

For the textiles, we chose neutral tones combined with touches of pink.

For the master bedroom, we designed the headboard with bedside tables and the bed frame as a single integrated oak wood module. For bedside lighting, we chose asymmetrical pendant lamps on each side. For the color palette, we opted for neutral tones with touches of blue.

Finally, we designed appropriate lighting throughout the home and selected contemporary lamps to create a warm and elegant atmosphere, a sense of well-being, and a home where one truly wants to be.
