This is a 75 m² newly constructed apartment. The family who owns it asked us to furnish and decorate the home while making the most of the spaces and giving them that sense of home. Additionally, they wanted a spacious living room, play and study areas in the children’s bedrooms, and a vanity in the master bedroom. In the daytime area, we positioned the living room near the window and placed the dining room right beside it, close to the kitchen. For the walls, we chose a luminous and warm off-white that creates a sense of spaciousness.
We opted for lightweight furniture to avoid visually overwhelming the space: the light-colored sofa has exposed legs and slim armrests, the coffee table is a nesting type, and the floor lamp is slender. The curtains, cushions, and artwork add touches of color. We selected light wood furnishings and combined them with black details to achieve a contemporary style, such as the dining room ceiling lamp, the chair legs, the side tables, the wall sconce, the ottoman, the sofa, and the dining room mirror, which reflects all the light entering through the living room window.
For the terrace, we created a relaxation area with two armchairs and a white cement table. The jute rug softens the space, and the plants fill the terrace with freshness and naturalness. In the master bedroom, we chose a bed with a lift-up storage base to gain extra storage and a mini vanity area, with an ottoman that can be tucked under the furniture when not in use. The XL leaf-patterned wallpaper sets the tones for the rest of the décor, in this case ranging from mustard to earth and beige. The walk-in closet is located in an L-shaped space adjacent to the bedroom. It makes the most of the corner and, with its white lacquered doors, appears luminous and uncluttered. The girl’s bedroom features a daybed with storage space, a desk, and a small corner shelf that also serves as a nightstand. The wallpaper has a herringbone pattern in a blue-green tone. The boy’s bedroom has the same layout as his older sister’s. The bed is a trundle and incorporates a headboard that serves as a nightstand and bookshelf. For the wallpaper, we chose an original world map mural in neutral tones that complements the green textiles and lamps.
