This is an 80 m² home located in a residential building in Valencia. The apartment was in its original condition, and the owning family—a couple with two children aged 7 and 9—contacted the interior design studio to carry out a full home renovation, with the aim of adapting the space to their lifestyle. In addition, they entrusted us with the complete furnishing and decoration, seeking a warm, bright, truly homely house.

The project was conceived with an timeless interior design style, combining wood flooring, off-white walls, bespoke furniture, and decorative elements that add warmth and brightness. We carefully analysed the natural and artificial lighting to ensure a balanced, comfortable atmosphere throughout the day.

The home is arranged with an open-plan layout that integrates the entryway, living room, dining area, and kitchen, allowing us to optimise space and encourage family togetherness.

Upon entering the home, we designed a bespoke entryway that provides a practical place to leave keys and personal items, complemented by a mirror framed with wood profiles. This area connects visually with the TV unit and is defined by wood slats, which add lightness and visual continuity.

One of the main requirements, as the owners are keen cooks, was to design a kitchen fully open to the living-dining area, with a large central island that would allow them to cook and share family moments.

We chose stone and natural wood tones, combined with brass taps, achieving a bright aesthetic without relying on white. The kitchen island includes space for stools and is lit by pendant lights, creating a practical, welcoming, elegant space. Next to the kitchen is the laundry room, accessed through a concealed door.

In the living room, we placed two sofas in an L-shaped arrangement, accompanied by a side table with a table lamp and an oak and rattan coffee table. The bespoke TV unit offers generous storage capacity. The textiles in soft blues and mustard tones create an balanced contrast that adds character and warmth.

The dining area is centred around an oak table, paired with oak and rattan chairs and a statement pendant light, creating an ideal space for family meals. The walls were finished with textile-effect wallpaper, adding texture and depth to the room.

To maximise storage, we designed wardrobes along the hallway. The transition between the day area and the night area is resolved with a sliding door with metal profiles lacquered in a grey-green tone, continuing the aesthetic language of the wardrobe fronts.

The main bedroom features a bed with an ottoman storage base, floor-to-ceiling wardrobes, and an optimised layout that makes use of every centimetre of space. The upholstered headboard in a neutral tone is paired with oak bedside tables and brass wall lights. The colour palette combines blues and neutral tones, through linen-effect wallpaper and coordinated textiles, creating a serene, welcoming atmosphere.

Before reaching the children’s bedrooms, we designed a small play area, furnished with two armchairs and a TV unit with storage space, creating a corner designed for family leisure.

In the children’s bedrooms, we aimed to maximise storage and functionality, creating comfortable, versatile spaces with a timeless aesthetic that can adapt as the children grow. Each room includes a sleeping area, study desk, and floor-to-ceiling wardrobes.

Both bedrooms follow the same design structure: a trundle bed with drawers, a headboard that extends to the desk with drawer unit, and a decorative dado paired with wallpaper.

In one of the bedrooms, we selected blue tartan-check wallpaper, combined with neutral textiles with blue accents.
In the other, we opted for green and neutral striped wallpaper, paired with coordinated textiles.

The main bathroom features a bespoke oak and off-white vanity unit, along with an cabinet above the niche for additional storage. We selected ceramic wall finishes and a stone-effect basin which, together with the black taps, add texture and elegance to the space.

The project was developed with a soft colour palette—greens and greyish blues, mustard tones—, combined with natural materials such as oak wood, linen, cotton, and rattan, reinforcing the sense of calm and harmony throughout the home. Each room was designed with its own distinct identity, while always maintaining the overall aesthetic coherence.

The result is a bright, functional, welcoming home, where each space reflects the tastes, habits, and lifestyle of its owners. A contemporary home designed to be enjoyed as a family.

As in all our projects, we designed carefully considered lighting that makes it possible to create warm, comfortable atmospheres, enhancing the sense of wellbeing in every room.
