This is a small, sunny 60 m² residence located on the 14th floor of a residential building. The apartment featured an entrance hall, living-dining room, kitchen, one bathroom, two bedrooms, and a terrace with beautiful views of the Port of Valencia.
The young owner contacted us to achieve a proper layout that would make the best use of the home, expanding the dining area and bathroom and achieving greater storage capacity. We also handled the furnishing, lighting, and decoration of all the rooms.
We decided to eliminate the smallest bedroom, which was unused, in order to expand the dining area, which was virtually nonexistent, and also create a reading nook. We also managed to make this space brighter.
We selected a round oak wood table with 4 upholstered chairs in light tones and completed the space with a sideboard that provides extra storage.
For the living room, we chose a comfortable sofa flanked by a side table and floor lamp. In front of it, we placed nesting tables of reduced dimensions to avoid obstructing passage to the terrace. As a TV unit, we selected one in oak wood and placed a beautiful display cabinet beside it.
The neutral color palette and the introduction of textiles such as rugs and cushions have created a welcoming and modern atmosphere, adding warmth to the space.
In the entrance hall and hallway, we decided to create a frieze using molding and wallpaper with a textile effect, which adds a modern and warm touch.
The wooden piece we selected for the entrance hall provides storage solutions, and the mirror contributes to creating a sense of spaciousness.
The space in the master bedroom was very limited, so we opted to forgo a traditional headboard and instead created a built-in one that we wallpapered and converted into a shelf. We designed a custom wardrobe with substantial storage capacity.
The coherence in design, from the nightstands to the decorative details, creates an elegant and relaxing aesthetic that perfectly complements the relaxed and comfortable style of the residence.
As for the color palette, we opted for neutral tones with blue accents.
We also completely renovated the bathroom, making it much more functional by removing the shower partition wall and a small cabinet and opting for a sliding door.
The selection of ceramics (with wood and stone effects) and the lighting have also contributed to enhancing the sense of spaciousness.
The kitchen, which had been recently renovated, only required decoration to bring it to life and add charm, as did the terrace, where we placed plants, a small round table, and a pair of bistro-style chairs for breakfast overlooking the sea.
