Acquired by our clients as a second residence facing the sea, intended for enjoying beach vacations with their young daughter, we were commissioned to undertake the complete renovation of this 80 m² residence, which was in original condition and whose layout did not meet their needs.
In the original configuration, the finest sea views were not connected to the living area, and access to the large terrace was through two bedrooms, which limited its daily use.
The project approach consisted of reorganizing the residence’s layout, prioritizing the living area oriented toward the terrace and sea views, with a direct connection between interior and exterior. We redistributed the spaces with the objective of optimizing the views, natural light, and interior circulation.
To achieve this, we integrated the kitchen, dining room, and living room into a single L-shaped open space, creating a more spacious, luminous, and fluid environment, with better utilization of natural light.
The kitchen open to the living room incorporates a custom-designed decorative fixed glass panel, which allows for visual delineation of the space without losing luminosity, reinforcing the spatial continuity.
The living area, located in one of the former bedrooms, is positioned adjacent to the kitchen and near the large window with views of the Mediterranean Sea. We designed a discreet and integrated television unit, conceived to avoid interfering with the landscape views.
The dining area, situated where another bedroom previously existed, was organized around a large oak table, accompanied by a custom bench with integrated storage. This solution allows for improved circulation and facilitates direct access to the terrace, which during summer becomes the center of the family’s daily life.
The terrace facing the sea was organized into two distinct areas: a living area and an informal outdoor dining space, creating a versatile space for family gatherings and moments of relaxation.
The master bedroom draws inspiration from Mediterranean aesthetics, with a palette of neutral tones and blues that evoke serenity and freshness. It features a bed with upholstered headboard, accompanied by suspended oak wood nightstands. Beneath the window we designed a small desk, intended for occasional work or reading moments.
The children’s bedroom, measuring just over 7 m², was resolved with custom-designed furniture to maximize space utilization: bed with drawers, storage headboard, wardrobe, bookshelf, mirror with moldings, and desk. The color palette is based on neutral tones and soft greens, generating a tranquil and luminous atmosphere.
From the hallway, one accesses the main bathroom through a door with custom-designed oak wood frame, which adds character to the interior circulation. Notable is the bathroom vanity with natural stone basin and black fixtures, creating an elegant and contemporary contrast.
Additionally, we designed an integrated laundry nook, discreet and functional, concealed behind custom paneling with folding doors, which allows for maintaining order without interfering with the space’s aesthetics.
The result is a luminous and functional residence facing the sea, where the living area opens completely to the terrace and landscape, enhancing the Mediterranean experience and outdoor living. A home designed to enjoy summer, light, and sea views.
