This is a three-story single-family home with a surface area of 250 m², located in a residential development. The home was in its original condition and the family owners—a couple with four young children—contacted the interior design studio to carry out a comprehensive renovation of the home. This is a second family residence, intended for enjoyment during summer and holidays.
In the living room area, we designed a custom cabinet module lacquered in off-white, which integrates the television in an oak wood niche with open shelving, providing visual order and integrated storage.
The kitchen open to the living room was equipped with cabinetry in washed blue, combined with off-white and natural oak, creating a bright space coherent with the living area.
Following our clients’ wishes, we dispensed with a formal dining room and opted for a peninsula-style breakfast bar with capacity for the entire family, which functions as a daily gathering space. We incorporated stools and pendant lamps with simple lines to reinforce the functional character of the space.
At the back of the kitchen, we placed a separate laundry room. For both spaces, we selected black fixtures, which provide contrast with the light tones of the cabinetry.
To access the children’s bedroom area, located on the first floor, we designed a staircase with treads made from the same continuous flooring as the home and a child-safe railing, prioritizing safety and visual continuity.
The two children’s bedrooms feature two beds each and ample storage capacity through custom wardrobes, lacquered in a grayish-green tone. At the family’s request, we omitted a study area, as the home functions as a vacation residence.
The children’s bathroom incorporates a porcelain tile with linen effect. We designed a custom vanity unit and selected white fixtures, achieving a cheerful, bright, and functional space.
In the attic is the master bedroom, which includes an en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet.
The bed features an upholstered headboard and wall sconces that add character to the space. For the headboard wall, we chose textured wallpaper, and decorated in neutral tones and soft greens to convey warmth and comfort.
The master bathroom was organized into two distinct zones. The shower and toilet were placed in a separate space to provide greater privacy, while the vanity area was designed open to the bedroom and adjacent to the walk-in closet, delineated by a wooden screen that provides visual lightness and spatial continuity.
