Mediterranean Residence

This is a three-story single-family home with a surface area of 250 m² located in a residential development. The residence was in its original state, and the family owners, a couple with two teenage children, contacted the studio to carry out a comprehensive renovation.

For the dining room, we selected a round table with 4 rattan chairs in a Mediterranean style.

At the back of the kitchen, we placed the laundry room.

To access the bedrooms, we designed a staircase with steps in stone-effect porcelain and a metal railing lacquered in the same blue tone as the kitchen glazing and cabinetry, creating a sense of fluidity and harmony.

The neutral color palette and the introduction of textiles such as rugs and cushions create a welcoming and modern atmosphere, adding warmth to the space.

On the first floor, we find three bedrooms and two bathrooms. For the master bedroom, we selected nightstands and headboard in oak wood.

For the headboard wall, we chose a wallpaper with a textile effect and decorated in neutral tones and soothing greens to convey a sense of warmth and comfort.

To enter the residence, we access through a small outdoor terrace, where we placed a relaxation area with sofas and side tables.

Once inside, we find the living-dining room. We placed a console table with a mirror as an entryway.

The only element we preserved from the living room was the fireplace, and we opted to design a beautiful surround and hood with cladding to give it greater prominence. We also designed two wooden units flanking it—one conceals the television and the other provides storage.

The kitchen, L-shaped, features cabinetry in deep blue, reminiscent of the nearby sea, combined with off-white and natural oak.

It connects with both the dining room and living room through glazing designed by the studio with metal framing lacquered in the same blue as the kitchen cabinetry.

On the ground floor, we also placed a small powder room clad in microcement in a raw tone.

The en-suite bathroom features a custom-designed oak wood vanity and a natural stone sink, creating harmony between the rustic and the modern.

Each of the couple’s children has their own bedroom.

For the daughter’s room, we selected an original botanical wallpaper in green and ochre tones. We designed the custom wardrobe, which features an open shelf unit that connects to the nightstand and extends along the headboard in oak wood and upholstery.

As for the color palette, we opted for neutral tones with touches of aqua green.

The siblings share a bathroom, and for this, we designed the custom vanity unit and complemented it with beautiful white and blue cladding.

For the son’s bedroom, we used the same wardrobe design, nightstand, and headboard.

In this case, we opted for a beautiful and refreshing wallpaper in blue tones, following the chromatic range selected for the bed linens.

The house has an attic that was previously unused. We designed a leisure area for the couple’s children and created a spacious, bright, and beautiful bathroom that lacks nothing.

In the high-ceiling area, we placed the shower and created a niche. At the back, facing the door, we positioned the sink on a custom vanity that provides storage, and a large custom mirror that follows the shape of the ceiling. On the wall with the lower ceiling and less visibility is the toilet.

The lighting was designed using wall sconces in the sink area and indirect LED lighting in the shower. Additionally, to enjoy natural light, we opened a glazed opening that connects with the staircase window.

As always, we designed appropriate lighting throughout the residence to create a warm atmosphere, a sense of well-being, and a home where one wants to be.
