This is a single-floor apartment with a 120 m² living area, located on the 4th floor of a residential building. The apartment was in its original condition, and the owners contacted our studio to undertake a complete renovation of their home.
Upon entering the residence, we find a small foyer, which we designed with storage space for personal items.
The living room, dining room, and kitchen share the same space, where warmth and elegance merge in perfect harmony. In every project, when designing the layout, we like each space to be well-defined and to have fluidity between them.
These three spaces share the characteristic of belonging to the daytime and social area of the home, where the family gathers to share experiences and participate in daily activities, promoting a more collaborative environment and fostering communication.
For the kitchen cabinetry, we opted for a taupe color, combined with brass faucets. We placed the cooking area at the back and the sink on the island.
We designed a glass partition with a sliding door which, in addition to acting as a decorative element, also serves as a dividing element between the kitchen and the foyer.
For the living room, we chose to design custom bookshelves next to the fireplace, using the same finish as the kitchen cabinetry.
By maintaining continuity in the furniture finishes between the kitchen and the living room, we achieve a sense of fluidity and visual harmony, which helps both spaces feel integrated and coordinated, despite being different functional areas.
Furthermore, we achieved a smoother transition between the kitchen and the living room, where the physical separation is minimal, avoiding abrupt contrasts.
The dining room is located behind the living room, in the more secluded area, where we placed an oak wood table and a sideboard with storage space.
For the color palette of these three rooms, we opted for neutral tones with touches of grayish-green and mustard, which, combined with the oak wood and the botanical mural, bring great warmth to the space.
In addition to having excellent taste, she is an extraordinary person, a tireless worker who fully commits to every project, resolving any unforeseen issues that may arise, dedicating many hours of work with infinite patience. In our case, she made things very easy for us, adapting to our needs, and the result could not have been more gratifying.
Indeed, if we had to turn to an interior designer again, we would trust her and her team implicitly.
When planning the layout, the family asked us to create three bedrooms: one master and two children’s rooms for their 8 and 6-year-old children, respectively, as well as two bathrooms, one en suite and another for the children and guests.
For the 8-year-old boy, we created a magical space for our little marine world enthusiast. The main wall is decorated with a beautiful mural of colorful fish and seaweed, creating a perfect underwater oasis for his imagination.
The toys and books are organized on the two custom-designed shelves that flank the desk, located next to the window. And, lacking space for a nightstand, we designed a wainscoting with indirect lighting and a shelf that, in addition to decorating, serves to hold an alarm clock or a book and to conceal the radiator.
The 6-year-old daughter was clear that she wanted a room with space to play dress-up with her friends.
We decided to decorate the main wall with an original and vibrant mural of colorful little houses, capable of transporting the girl to a world of fantasy and adventure, where each house represents a different story. Additionally, her parents asked us for ample storage for her clothes, toys, and costume collection.
In the design of the bedroom, we also considered her future needs, so we designed a desk that combines study space with a practical integrated bookshelf. It also doubles as a nightstand, providing her with comfort and functionality.
We wanted to create a cheerful bathroom for the children, but one that would grow with them, so we decided to avoid overtly childish decor and opt for versatility and timeless style.
With a refreshing palette of blue and white tones, we managed to create a bright, serene, and contemporary atmosphere in this small space.
Furthermore, thanks to a carefully planned layout, thoughtful lighting, and the extra storage provided by the custom-designed bathroom vanity, we achieved a beautiful, bright, fresh, and functional bathroom.
The clients asked us for the master bedroom to include a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom. It is true that we did not have much space, but despite its size, we managed to maximize every inch by designing the dressing room and furniture to measure.
For the color palette, we opted for neutral tones with touches of moss green and mustard. The special touch is provided by the beautiful botanical mural, which adds depth and prominence to the headboard wall.
There is no doubt that this solution provides functionality, privacy, and daily comfort, and allows for enjoyment of tranquility and relaxation without interruptions, as the three rooms are located in a private area of the residence.
As always, we designed appropriate lighting to create a warm ambiance, a sense of well-being, and a home where one loves to be.
