How can you recognise a home’s potential? It is a question I am often asked, and I have a clear answer: by everything you will NOT be able to change.
And a good interior design project can transform an entire home… However, there are features that will always be part of it, such as its location, orientation, and views.

The project I will tell you about today is one of those cases where the home’s inherent features were unbeatable (excellent location, abundant natural light…) and yet its interior needed a full renovation: due to years of wear and tear, because it had a layout that no longer suited modern living, and especially because the family who were going to move in did not feel comfortable.
After visiting the property and speaking with the new owners about their tastes and those of their two young children, their lifestyle, and how they would like to enjoy their new home, our studio got to work to make their dream home a reality.

A home with the personality of those who live in it
The Turia Gardens are Valencia’s green lungs: a beautiful park that disconnects us from the concrete and makes us forget, as we stroll along its tree-lined paths, that we are in the middle of the city.
The home I am showing you today is located right opposite the gardens, with abundant natural light and beautiful views.
A couple with a son and a daughter would live here, all of them lovers of open, warm, and welcoming spaces.
Accordingly, we proposed a layout tailored to their needs, taking their preferences into account.
We opened the kitchen to the living room and dining area to facilitate family communication, especially in the afternoons, when everyone has returned from their daily activities and it is time to prepare dinner and spend time together.
At the same time, we sought to maintain privacy in the different areas by creating subtle separations, as in the case of the entrance hall, separated from the living room by bespoke cabinetry.
At the same time, the kitchen, open to the living-dining area, still maintains a certain degree of independence and includes a breakfast area as an extension of the worktop, clad in beautiful Dekton.

Design decisions that make the home unique
At every stage, we wanted to make this project a home meant to be lived in, with both harmony and a personality of its own.
Throughout almost the entire home, we worked with a colour palette of neutral, washed-out tones, with green as the accent colour that ties everything together.
This green can be seen, for example, in the indoor plants, in the exposed iron pillars we kept visible, in the living room artwork, and in details such as the textiles in the main bedroom and the young son’s bedroom.
And, of course, when you draw back the curtains, the dominant view is the green of the Turia Gardens. In this way, the interior is framed by its surroundings, blending naturally with the context in which the home is located.
The exception, at the owners’ daughter’s express request, was her bedroom, where the main colour was pink, alongside white and neutral tones, to fully reflect her tastes.

Down to the last detail
As in any home with a style where natural tones take centre stage, joinery is essential to add a touch of warmth and elegance.
The wood floors create a cocooning feeling, a home where you can truly feel at ease. And the white lacquered doors, floor to ceiling and frameless, create a sense of spaciousness and elegance.
The finishing touch comes from the bespoke furniture we designed and the selection of materials and finishes, piece by piece, to take care of every last decorative detail.

In summary, this beautiful home in Valencia is the result of a comprehensive turnkey interior design and decoration project, with the client’s full trust to let imagination and creativity run free and achieve the best results.
